Glenwood High School has a proud tradition of encouraging all students to develop outstanding skill in oral communication and speech writing, a clear aptitude for rhetoric, and a comprehensive approach to researching various perspectives on a variety of topics. To this end, the English faculty facilitates the 'Coo-ee Camp' for both the junior and senior school, in which students are asked to write and deliver a speech as part of our selection process for entry into the State-organised Public Speaking Competitions: The Legacy Junior Public Speaking Competition (LIPSA) and The Sydney Morning Herald Plan English Speaking Award (PESA).
