With regards to the above program here at Glenwood High School, NSW Health have advised that we will have a slight change to the way the vaccinations will be given this year due to the COVID-19 vaccine commencing today. The small change will be that the Single dose of dTpa which was meant to be given on the first visit (Friday 26th February) will now be given on Friday, 10th September 2021.

The vaccination clinics will be conducted at Glenwood High School for all Year 7 students on:

Friday, 26th February 2021                        1st dose HPV

(Term 1, Week 5)

Friday, 11th June 2021                               Catch-up Year 7’s who were absent for February

(Term 2, Week 8)                                        visit

Friday, 10th September 2021                    2nd dose HPV

(Term 3, Week 9)                                        Single dose dTpa

Please note that students who commence the HPV vaccination in school clinics in Year 7 but do not complete the course during the school year may be offered catch-up doses at school in Year 8. Students who have their first HPV dose at their GP will be advised to complete the course with their GP.

A Record of Vaccination will be provided to each student vaccinated at each clinic. You should ensure that this record is kept for future reference. Please do not assume that your child has been vaccinated if you do not receive this Record of Vaccination. Vaccination records will be uploaded to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) to provide a complete immunisation history for your child.

Please find attached the letter from NSW Health to this effect.

Please ensure that your child eats breakfast on the day of the school vaccination clinic and brings plenty of food and water for throughout the day.

Should you have any further questions or comments regarding this program please call the Immunisation Team on 9840 3603 or call Ms Jones at Glenwood High School on 9629 9577.
