Opportunity Through Learning

Harmony Day

On Friday, 9th March 2012, Glenwood High School will once again celebrate Harmony Day. We are hoping the day will be an exciting and enjoyable opportunity to celebrate the wonderful diversity of students and families at the school. A number of activities have been organised for the day which will help to educate the students about the different cultures in our school, as ...well as to create a fun, harmonious and enjoyable day for all. We are seeking the help of parents and guardians to assist us with some of these activities. In particular, we would like to invite parents and guardians to assist with the multicultural food fair that will take place during an extended lunch in the afternoon. Parents/guardians are asked to indicate their interest in cooking for and running stalls selling a variety of cuisines for the students to purchase at lunchtime. Money raised will help to pay for events run on Harmony Day, as well as to support other diversity programs during the year. Volunteers will be given a budget for purchase of foodstuffs for the day and will be fully reimbursed. If you feel you are able to offer your assistance in any way, please fill in the form below and forward it to the school office by Friday 10th February 2012. Thank you in advance to all of you assisting on Harmony Day. I look forward to meeting you soon. Yours sincerely, Tülay Davies Glenwood High School Harmony Day Expression of Interest for Parent Volunteers
