Our principal and staff
Warami.
Glenwood High School is a large and dynamic school, proudly home to over 1600 students. Our size is a testament to the trust, belief, and magnetic pull of our school. It is a place where diversity is celebrated and every student is valued and appreciated. I believe that a school community should be a tapestry of music, art, sport, student leadership, conversation and academic endeavour.
From the moment students step through the gates, they are embraced by an atmosphere of ambition, high expectations, and dedication to success. Excellence isn’t just encouraged, it is ingrained in every lesson, every conversation, and every achievement. From day one, students become part of a community that fosters academic distinction, personal growth, and a commitment to reaching their full potential.
Our dedicated teaching staff play a central role in this. They embrace the professional challenge of stretching every learner, tailoring their expertise and care so that each student is known, valued, and supported to achieve at the highest level.
I believe the old adage that it takes a village to raise good, productive members of society. This is very much the case at Glenwood. With more than 1600 students, we are a village in our own right. We pride ourselves on reaching every individual as much as possible, by tailoring our time, our resources, and our programs so that every student is known, valued, and cared for. Strong relationships and partnerships remain the cornerstone of how we teach, learn, and grow together.
At Glenwood, we recognise the individual needs and aspirations of every student and take pride in nurturing young people to become confident, articulate, and responsible citizens and leaders in a world that is constantly changing. The many opportunities offered through our school, academic, cultural, leadership and sporting, motivate students to be informed, active and resilient young men and women.
